The “Girls Got Game” basketball camp, hosted by Lady Husky head coach Laura Foster, is just one week away, and registration is ongoing for the camp.

Camp begins on June 19 and will last through June 21 with participants reporting at 9 a.m. and leaving at noon.

Girls that are rising first graders through rising eighth graders are eligible to participate in this camp, designed to develop and improve skills while giving the young players a chance to work hard and still have fun.

The cost for this year’s camp is $50, which includes instruction, a camp t-shirt and a limited insurance policy. To be eligible for this camp price, Coach Foster will need registration forms and checks no later than June 18.

If you choose to wait and register on the first day of camp, the cost will be $60.

For those rising eighth graders that attend the Catawba College Team Camp, the price for this camp is only $25.

Campers should bring proper shoes for the basketball court and may want to bring money for concessions, which will be sold each day during break.

As always, trophies will be awarded to the top performers in the Free Throw and Hot Shot competitions, as well as the winner of the one-on-one tournaments in each age level.
