A Lansing man was killed on Saturday, June 16, when the motorcycle he was riding collided with with a pickup truck shortly after 6 p.m. on NC 194N in Lansing.

Adam Eric Trippe, age 26, of Lansing, struck a 2002 Chevy pickup truck driven by Bobby James Testerman of Jefferson, as Testerman was turning left into the parking lot of the Cottage House Restaurant in Lansing.

“Trippe crested the top of the hill, laid the bike over, and struck the pickup,” said NC State Trooper Denny Parunak. When asked if speed played a factor in the accident, Parunak said, “Possibly.”

No citations have been issued and the fatal accident is under further investigation.
