Trippe, age 26, was killed Saturday evening when the motorcycle he was operating collided with a pickup truck on NC 194N in Lansing at Country House Restaurant.
Trippe leaves a wife, Angel, and two daughters, Madelyn, age two, and Abigail, almost one year old.

As Angel and her daughters deal with the loss of a husband and father, family and friends have gathered around to help with food and physical needs and comfort. But there will come a time when Angel will be facing the reality of her loss.
“One of the reasons I set up this account,” said Courtney, “is when the dust settles, and Angel goes back to reality without family and friends around, she will need help, and that's when I want this bank account to kick in.”
“We are planning a fundraiser in July,” Courtney said. “I sell Thirty-One and we are going to be taking our commission from our sales in the month of July and donate it to Angel's bank account at the Credit Union. Courtney is glad to be organizing this effort on behalf of Angel and her daughters and hopes others will be able to help.
“We all went to school together, everybody's just friends and we hang out together,” she said as her voice choked with emotion. “It's so tragic. They were at our house for my son's second birthday on Saturday before the accident.”
Adam was a good guy and a great husband, father and friend, Courtney said. “The best way to describe Adam is, he was an extremely devoted husband and father. Adam loved the Lord, and he was very aware of where he was going.”
Adam and his family were members of Long Branch Baptist Church in Lansing and had been attending Faith Fellowship in Jefferson. They had been living in Lansing on family land and had just purchased a home on Deep Ford Road.
Adam had worked at GE Aviation (machinist) for a number of years, Courtney said. He was a health nut, she said, enjoying riding motorcycles and lifting weights. “Just a guy.”
A funeral for Adam was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Boone Family Funeral Home and visitation was conducted Tuesday evening. He was buried in the Ham Family Cemetery.
