Robert Edward Marsh
Robert “Bob” Edward Marsh of Harrisburg passed away on Friday July 6, 2012 at his residence. He was 80.
Mr. Marsh was born on July 18, 1931 in Ashe County to the late Elbert Monroe and Sibbie Evelyn Walters Marsh. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Easley Marsh; one daughter, Bobbie Jean Queen of Charlotte; one son, James Edward Marsh of Alexandia, Va.; one sister, Rita Huff of Jefferson; one step daughter, Vicki Faggart; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Marsh served his country proudly having served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Bob attended Gethsemane Baptist Church, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Ashe County.
The family received friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday at Wilkinson Funeral Home with the funeral following at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wilkinson Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Bob Tallent. Burial followed at Carolina Memorial Park cemetery.
