Doris McNeill Dickson

Mrs. Doris McNeill Dickson of West Jefferson died on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Margate Health & Rehab Center in Jefferson. She was 86.

Mrs. Dickson was born on March 3, 1926 in Lansing to Gaither and Verna McNeill. Mrs. Dickson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kent Dickson; son, Kenny Dickson; sister, Helen; and brother, Sonny. Mrs. Dickson loved to read and spend time with her family and friends. Doris was a hardworking person. She was a member of Mount Jefferson Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Dickson is survived by her daughter, Debby Masten and husband, Steve, of South Port; daughter-in-law, Carol Dickson of West Jefferson; brother, Ernest McNeill of Rising Sun, Md.; sister, Marie McMullen of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; four grandchildren, Ashley Masten Lech, Robert Masten III, Kerry Dickson, Kendra Dickson Lucas; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Lucas, Presley Lynn Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at noon on Monday, July 9, at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Thom Burleson. Burial followed in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, July 9, at Badger Funeral Home.
