The Ashe County cross country team’s schedule is set, which includes five regular season conference meets and two meets on the home course.
Ashe will start the 2012 campaign at home with its first conference meet of the season, taking on Alleghany and East Wilkes. That meet is slated for Sept. 11.
On Sept. 18, Ashe will travel to East Wilkes for a meet that will feature runners from all nine of the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference teams.
The Huskies will be on the road again Sept. 25 for the third meet of the season at Starmount. Ashe will be competing against the Rams as well as the Forbush Falcons.
October opens with a road meet at Wilkes Central on Oct. 2. Central, Ashe, and Elkin will be racing on that day.
The regular season closes with a home meet with Ashe, Starmount and Wilkes Central on Oct. 9.
The MVAC Championship meet is slated for Oct. 16 and will take place at East Wilkes High School. Regional competition begins Oct. 27 with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 2A State Championship meet on tap for Nov. 3.
