Virginia Blackburn McGuire
Mrs. Virginia Blackburn McGuire of West Jefferson passed away Sunday evening July 22, 2012 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. She was 95.
Mrs. McGuire was born in Ashe County on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1916 to the late George Washington Blackburn and Ella Dale Graybeal. She was a Homemaker.
Mrs. McGuire is preceded in death by her husband, John Hagaman.
She is survived by one son, Patrick McGuire of Tuckahoe, N.Y.; one daughter, Kathy McGuire of West Jefferson; and two grandsons,Todd McGuire and Corey McGuire of New York.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Boone Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Peter Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the Howell Cemetery at Todd.
The family received friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, one hour prior to the funeral service.
