Wilma L. Williams
Wilma L. Williams of Elkton, Md., passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 83.
Born in Fleetwood on Oct. 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Harris H. and the late Annie (Cook) Lemly. She was the beloved wife of Albert W. Williams whom she married on June 15, 1947. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.
Wilma graduated from Fleetwood High School in 1947. She and her husband attended Elkton Church of the Nazarene for many years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, baking and caring for her family.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her two children, Steve Williams of Pembroke, Va., and Loretta Whiteman of Philadelphia, Penn.; two brothers, Clayton Lemly of West Jefferson and Tracy Lemly of Fleetwood; two sisters, Ola Belle Edwards and Aliene Lemly Young, both of West Jefferson; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Richard, Norman and Ithel Lemly; and three sisters, Ruth Green, Edwina Kincaid and Lorene Edwards.
Visitation for family and friends was held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.
Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. James Moyers, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Elkton Church of The Nazarene, 377 Nottingham Road, Elkton, MD 21921. Interment followed in Rose Bank Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
