In the afternoon round of the Frank M. James Memorial Golf Tournament on Aug. 2, Mount Jefferson Family Medicine took home the top spot with a gross score of 54, just one shot ahead of second place Blue Ridge Electric who shot 55.
Mount Jefferson Family Medicine team members were Bob Cline, Anthony Hamilton, Kevin Wonsick and Jaime Arnold. Blue Ridge Electric team members included Russell Sheets, Alan Merck, Travis Reeves and Jeff Benfield.
The net score winner in the afternoon tournament was Miller Insurance with a score of 45.6. Johnson Controls finished second with a score of 45.7.
Miller Insurance team members were Tony Shelton, Chris Miller, Bob Adams and John Bower. Johnson Controls team members were Mark Bowman, Brad Knoll, Ronnie Burton and Nat Powers.
Four different winners took home the top spot in the contest of closest shot to the pin. On the second hole, Wrenn Johnson had the closest shot. Hole number six saw Chuck Mathis have the closest shot. Anthony Hamilton had the top shot on hole 14 and Bob Cline did the same on hole 17.
