Mrs. Kathleen Sue Houck Gentry, of Todd, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Valley Healthcare Center. She was 86.
Mrs. Gentry was born in Ashe County on Jan. 30, 1926, to the late Gurna and Flora Gentry Houck.
Mrs. Gentry is survived by one son; Allen Gentry and wife Becky of Abingdon, Va.; one daughter, Kaye Green and husband Thomas of Wytheville, Va.; two sisters, Mary Nell Marsh of Mooresville and Johnnie Webb of Ellerbe; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Bethany Cemetery with Rev. Owen Peeler officiating.
