Mr. Ronald Tyler Cannell, better known as Ron, of Lansing passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 3, 2012 at his home. He was 87.
Mr. Cannell was born in Norristown, Pa., on Jan. 28, 1925, to the late Jacob and Anna Garner Cannell.
He was a director at the YMCA.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Wood Cannell; a son, Wayne Cannell, of Lansing; two daughters, Marjorie Shinkle, of Lansing and Marty Wetherhold, of Lansing; a son-in-law, Erwin Shinkle of Crumpler; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 13, 2012, at Bald Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Lawrence Goodman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., one hour prior to the memorial service.
