Beginning on Thursday, Oct. 18, the Ashe County Courthouse will hold a district court session.

The Honorable Jeannie Houston will be the presiding judge.

The following cases will be heard:

Denise Anne Austin, failure to stop for stopped bus.

Quaicy Eshon Barnes, assault to inflict serious injury.

Richard Edward Barnhill, accessing computers.

Joseph Anthony Bishop, assault to inflict serious injury, possession of a weapon by prisoner.

Jason Brian Burgess, driving while impaired, driving while license revoked, civil revocation of license

Timothy Douglas Byland, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts driving while license revoked, operating a vehicle with no insurance, fictitious/altered title/regulation card/tag

Christopher C. Caudill, assault to inflict serious injury

Demetrius J Chakmakis, breaking and or entering into a motor vehicle, injury to personal property, felony larceny, misdemeanor larceny

Gregory Carl Chakmakis, breaking and or entering into a motor vehicle, injury to personal property, felony larceny, misdemeanor larceny

Dawn Renee Contreras, conspiracy to traffic opium/heroin

Floriberto T Contreras, conspiracy to traffic opium/heroin

Kenneth Daniel Cox, possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor larceny, possession of stolen goods/property, two counts obtain property false pretense, possession of marijuana up to .5 ounces

Christopher M. Darden, hit and run failure to stop for property damage, four counts driving while license revoked, two counts speeding

Shelby Leann Dickens, simple assault, harassing phone call

Charles Andrew Dishman, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance

Michael James Dishman, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy to sell/deliver a schedule I controlled substance, worthless check simple

Kaye Marie Elliott, misdemeanor child abuse, driving while impaired, failure to maintain lane control

Lisa Gail Frye, possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts obtaining property under false pretenses

Samuel Hernan Gonzalez, possession of marijuana up to .5 ounces, possession of drug paraphernalia

Ronnie Allen Hall Jr., fleeing/eluding arrest with moving vehicle, driving while license revoked

William Roby Hicks, trafficking opium or heroin, conspiracy to sell/deliver a schedule I controlled substance

Kevin Dwight Hull, four counts breaking and or entering, three counts larceny after breaking

Robert D. Mahala, Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, conspiracy to sell/deliver a schedule I controlled substance

Clinton Matthew Medley, assault on a female
