The Ashe County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests this week.

According to the ACSO, Jessie Kenneth Huffman, 26, of Trade, Tenn., was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 16, and charged with attempted larceny and injury to personal property.

This arrest was a result of an investigation involving the attempted larceny of a Dr. Pepper drink machine on West Peak Road, Creston at Max Lewis’ produce stand. Huffman is currently in jail awaiting a probable cause hearing.

Also arrested was Adam Campbell, 29, from Warrensville. He was arrested Oct. 6, on charges of breaking, entering, larceny as result of a reported theft at a residence in the Warrensville community. Several items were reported stolen, including appliances. Warrants were issued for Brian Mark Bove, who is alleged to have been an accomplice, for breaking and entering and larceny. According to the ASCO, Bove is believed to be in West Virginia.

Ashe Sheriff’s Deputy Tony Blevins arrested Campbell. During the stop for the arrest, Blevins also found various types of drugs that resulted in additional charges. Campbell was also charged with felony possession of schedule II; possession of drug paraphernalia; simple possession of schedule IV. Approximately one gram of methamphetamine was seized along with an unknown amount of marijuana.

Campbell is currently in jail under a $8,100 bond awaiting probable cause hearing.
