There will be a vigil in memory of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, in front of the West Jefferson Town Hall. Memorials are encouraged to be placed in front of the hall between now and Tuesday evening. This impromptu shrine, dedicated to the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School, was placed at the corner of South Jefferson Avenue and East Main Street Saturday night by persons unknown.
