The weekly session of the Ashe County District Court was held Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, with the Honorable Jeanie Houston presiding. These decisions were handed down by the court:

Quaicy Eshon Barnes: (M) assault inflicting serious injury, (P) no contest, 75 days suspended, 12 months supervised probation, CC, liable for any restitution.

Justin Lee Billings: (M) probation violation, 60 days CRV, credit for 10 days, probation terminated.

Bryan Greer: (M) probation violation, 45 days, credit for four days, $201.60 restitution.

Noah Kinard Leeper: (M) possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz., (P) guilty, 90-96, six months supervised probation, CC.

Johnathan David Long: (M) larceny, (P) no contest, 45 days suspended, 18 months supervised probation, not to be on Walmart premises.

Brandon Michael Milam: (M) larceny, (P) no contest, 120 days active to run concurrent with sentence currently serving.

Courtney D. Patterson: (F) possession of methamphetamine, 8-19 months suspended, 24 months supervised probation, $100 fine plus CC.

Jennifer A. McCormick: (M) possession of drug paraphernalia, (J) guilty, 90-96, six months supervised probation, (M) simple assault, (J) guilty, 45 days ACJ suspended, 18 months supervised probation, 11 days active, credit for 11 days.
