William Norris Weaver of Charlotte passed away Feb. 6th, 2013, at his home. He was 72.

“Bill” was born in Jefferson, June 26, 1940, the son of Charles Baker and Hazel Dority Weaver. He was the grandson of James Ross and Louella Weaver Weaver.

Being a “double Weaver”, almost all Weavers in Ashe County are his kin. Bill was a graduate of N.C. State University, and a professional engineer. Before retirement, he owned Orion Engineering in Charlotte. He authored many lessons, distributed in many countries, on solving various engineering problems.

He is survived by: his wife, Andree DeGeorges Weaver of the home; one son, Jean Charles of Charlotte; one daughter, Stephanie Weaver of Croset, Va.; one granddaughter, Sierra Weaver of Croset, Va.; one brother, Charlie (Pat) of Winston-Salem; and his father-in-law, Jean DeGeorges of Lyon, France.

Badger Funeral Home is handling services, which are incomplete.

The cremains will be interred at the Weaver Cemetery on Teaberry Road near Lansing.

Badger Funeral Home was entrusted with Mr. Weaver’s arrangements. Words of comfort and remembrance may be viewed or sent to the family through their website at www.badgerfuneralhome.com.
