Thomas Henson, age 63, of Jacksonville, NC, formerly of Ashe County, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 in La Paz, Mexico.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 14, at 1 p.m. at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Morris officiating.

Mr. Henson was preceded in death by his father, Earl Henson.

He is survived by two daughters, Cristy Elder and husband, Matt, of Statesville, NC, and Ashleigh Morgan and husband, Dan, of Charlotte, NC; his mother, Florence Henson, of Nashville, TN; one sister, Linda Kee and husband, Phillip, of Nashville, TN; one brother, Jim Henson of Sugar Grove, NC; and three grandchildren, Lexi Morgan, Brady Morgan, and Cali Morgan.

The family will be meeting at the home of Jim & Libby Hoffman at 250-F Oakwood Drive in West Jefferson after the services.
