A Crumpler man has been arrested and charged with breaking and entering and larceny of a West Jefferson business.

According to the West Jefferson Police Department, 49-year-old Jimmy Blair Barber broke into Carolina Trailers Direct at 104 Long St. on Aug. 24 and took a plasma metal cutter valued at approximately $4,000.

He has been charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, both of which are felony charges. He was also charged with driving while license revoked.

Barber is out of jail as of press time on a $4,500 bond. He will face the felony charges in district court on Oct. 22.
