Paul G. Ham, age 64, of Lansing, died Friday morning, Oct. 9, 2009 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Shepherd and the Rev. David Lyalls officiating. Burial followed in the Ham family cemetery.

The family received friends Sunday, Oct. 11, from 6-8 p.m. at Boone Family Funeral home Chapel.

Mr. Ham was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1945 to the late William and Ola Arnold Ham. He was a member of Lansing Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Dale Ham, Wayne Ham and Earl Ham, and three sisters, Addline DeBoard, Wanda Parlier and Mary Ham.

Mr. Ham is survived by: his wife, Imojean Ham, of the home; a son, Jim Ham, of the home; three daughters, Sherry Greer and husband, Jeff, of Lansing, Lisa Miller and husband, Doug, of West Jefferson, and Judy Rupard and husband, Dean, of Warrensville; two sisters, Alene Dillard of West Jefferson and Margaret Howell of Lansing; two brothers, Darrell Ham and wife, Louise, of Indiana and Bud Osborne and wife, Ruth, of West Grove, PA; six grandchildren, Amanda Greer, Angel Trippe and husband Adam, Daniel Cox and wife Candice, Mindy Wagner and husband Kris, Kendra Rupard and Kaley Rupard; four great grandchildren, Gabriel Cox, Isaiah Neaves, Madason Cox and Madi Trippe; and several nieces and nephews.
