I am a Registered Nurse. I started my education at Ashe Central.

I moved away for many years, recently returned to Ashe County to retire. I wanted to come home: because of the positive and conductive atmosphere of growth in an environment of safety for my grandchildren to come and visit and spend the summer. I wanted to retire in a place conductive to physical, spiritual, mental, and financial growth, not a place dangerous for my two young grand daughters to shop for their prom dresses or new shoes.

If the cage dancing or any other type sexually oriented business comes to Ashe County, it will not be safe for any child to be near where that business is located.

The only way to let the town aldermen know we natives mean business, is to hit them where it hurts; their pocket book.

Money talks. Take your business out of West Jefferson and the county if any type sexually oriented business comes to Ashe County. And don’t let the aldermen tell you that you have to pass the zoning ordinance to keep this out. They only need to say no to the sexually oriented business. The town’s attorney knows law and can keep it out, if he chooses to do this.

Please Ashe County, speak UP!! Let the aldermen know you WILL SHOP ELSEWHERE IF THEY ALLOW ANY TYPE SEXUALLY ORIENTED BUSINESS TO COME INTO OUR LOVELY COUNTY.
