The final week of the annual New River Expedition is here, as August 18 will mark the final day of the trip.
Boaters will begin the fourth week in West Virginia to finish the long adventure on the New River.
Week 4 NCNR Expedition schedule:
Saturday, August 14: 9am-12pm: Hinton Clean Up. 1pm Parker Island Lunch. Put in in Hinton at 2:30pm. Take out at Brooks Falls at 6pm. 6 miles. Camping at Brooks Island. Outfitter: A1-Cantrell
Sunday, Aug. 15: Put in at Grandview at 9am (meeet at Thurmond). Take out at Thurmond at 5pm. 14 miles. Camping at Dunn Glen.
Monday, Aug. 16: Put in at Thurmond at 9am (meet at Thurmond). Take out at Cunard at 3pm. 7 miles. Camping at Dunn Glen.
Tuesday, Aug. 17: Put in at Cunard at 9am. Catered lunch on river. Evening event in Fayetteville. Take out at Fayette Station. 7 miles.
Wednesday, Aug. 18: Wed. 8/18 - Put in below the Dries at 11am (meet at Gauley Bridge). Take out at Confluence at 2pm. 2 miles.
