Robert “RF” Fortune Blevins, of Havre de Grace, Md, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, Md. Robert was 90.
Robert was born in Damascus, Va., to the late Lawrence and Creecy Blevins.
Robert served three years in the U. S. Army (the Panama Canal Zone).
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Norval Davis; his granddaughter, Angela Gearhart; and his son-in-law, Jack Holcomb.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie Blevins of 66 years; his eight children, Barry Blevins and wife, Connie of Lansing, Rainelle Holcomb of Port Deposit, Md., Rochelle Muir and husband, Jim of Havre de Grace, Md., Danielle Bungori and husband, Alex of Havre de Grace, Md., Rodney Blevins and Marie of Aberdeen, Md., Kip Blevins of New Freedom, Pa., Robin Dawson and husband, Troy of Aberdeen, Md., Jann Blevins and Karen of Havre de Grace, Md.; his brother Ernest Blevins of Jefferson; 24 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, Md. Visitation for family and friends will be held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Pastor Donald Smith of Antioch Baptist Church will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jim Muir; B. Jack Blevins Jr.; Alex Bungori Jr.; Dana Blevins; Paul Watson III; Jann Michael Blevins
Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, Md.
