Three arrested after meth lab seized

The Narcotics Division of the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office has made three arrests in connection with a methamphetamine lab discovered on Nov. 20, on Nikanor Road in the West Jefferson community.

Christopher Barry Walters, 37 of West Jefferson, and Timothy James Holman, 28, of Jefferson, were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of precursor chemicals.

Amanda Pruitt Price, 30, of West Jefferson, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

Walters, Holman and Price are currently in jail and are each under a $100,000 bond. The defendants’ first appearances have already been held.

Further charges and hearings are pending.
