Ms. Judy Kay Miller of Jefferson died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Westwood Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Wilkesboro. She was 50.

Ms. Miller was born on Nov. 21, 1962, in Jefferson to Robert Ernest and Dorene Ham Miller.

Ms. Miller was preceded in death by her mother and sister, Shirley Miller.

She loved reading, playing bingo and talking with her friends, including her special friend Alberta. She was an avid Rusty Wallace fan. The family would like to thank Ashe Memorial Hospital, Wilkes Regional Hospital, NC Baptist Hospital, Mtn. Valley Hospice and Westwood Hills Nursing staff for their excellent care.

Ms. Miller is survived by her father, Robert Ernest Miller of Lansing; two brothers, Robert Lee Miller and Doug Parsons, both of Lansing; three sisters, Betty Roten of Wilkesboro, Dorothy Ham of Lansing and Mary Miller, of Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Minister Danny Miller and Rev. Duane Andrews. Burial will follow in Pennington Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, prior to the service.
